Where the frames come from

Every photograph on this site is a still, lifted out of a short film and left to sit. The films are stock, licensed from Pexels and credited to the people who shot them. Nobody here filmed a morning, and a page about noticing things cannot start by telling you otherwise.

12 entries carry a frame from a different clip. Their own clip is text on a warm ground with no footage in it, so scripts/stills.mjs matches each to the account’s library by subject. The live entry page prints “Every frame here is from this entry's own footage.” over the top of them. On this page those rows say so.

6 entries lead on a different one of their own frames than the archive’s first pick. scripts/stills.mjs chooses an entry’s clips off a search phrase, so the filename records the phrase and not the frame, and on those six the first pick did not show what the entry’s own caption names. Each now leads on one of its own other frames, and the displaced one is still here among the rest of the morning. Nothing was fetched and nothing was made.

Twelve of the 37 entries on a single clip carry the same problem with nothing to fix it: all three of their frames are that one piece of footage. They stay as they are.
